Major Responsibilities
Operate, test, and maintain 24 utility systems and sub-systems including environmental protection.
Perform quality control checks and lab testing on equipment & systems.
Manage and control chemical and supplies inventory.
Troubleshoot and perform maintenance activities.
Receive, treat, dispose of, and schedule removal of waste.
Rotates shifts as required by the team.

Position Accountabilities
Will be required to earn their Wastewater License within three years.
Some maintenance experience preferred since this job has limited General Technician support on off shifts.
Self-directed work habits and industrious thinking traits required.
May need to lift up to 75#'s occasionally when moving pieces of equipment. Assistance or accommodation may be available.
Uses computer and/or phone approximately two hours a day.
Extreme heat and cold as well as dust, dirt, chemicals, vibrations, and fumes are likely.
Work environment will consist of inside and outside responsibilities.
Operation of mobile equipment and heavy crane present in this position.

Experience:
Level I: Two years industrial environment experience preferred.
Level II: 5+ years of experience in an industrial environment Kentucky Wastewater Operator Certification 80% completion of Utilities System Proficiency Evaluations

Essential Physical, Sensory, and Mental Requirements
Will sit 3 hours, stand 2 hours, and walk 3 hours daily. May stoop 15 minutes per day. May kneel 15 minutes per day. May lift and carry up to 15 pounds five minutes per day. Will use telephone 3 hours per day. Will use computer about 3 hours per day. Requires good vision, hearing, and speaking. Must read, write, and do math. Will develop plans, maintain procedures, and maintain AFC databases. Will work indoors at a desk within a comfortable office environment most of the time.
